South Carolina Backpacking

Below are weekend backpacking trips that for the most part are beginner/intermediate level trips.

These are mostly in the mountains of upstate South Carolina.

Nicholson Ford to Simms Field

Follow Sally & I along our overnight adventure along the Foothills Trail on the banks of the Chattooga River near Mountain Rest, SC.

Burrells Ford to Oconee

During our day hike at Paris Mountain - I took time to film the backcountry campsites at Paris Mountain State Park that are located near North Lake. Personal favorites are 1, 2, and 4.

Bad Creek to Thompson River

Day 1 along the Foothills Trail to camp by Thompson River for a quick overnight. We enjoyed a nice hike (briefly interrupted by some very angry yellow jackets) and some nice soak time by the river.
